Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory in the North Atlantic Ocean, located off the east coast of North America. Founded in 1612, St George was the first permanent English settlement on the island. St. Peter's Church was established immediately after the founding of the settlement.

The historic Town of St. George, together with its related fortifications, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
