The Mosque–Cathedral of Córdoba | Spain

Postcard
Córdoba is a city in Andalusia in southern Spain. The Emir of Córdoba, 'Abd al-Rahman I, built the grand mosque of Córdoba in 784. Spain was conquered by muslims in these days. Córdoba returned to Christian rule in 1236 during the Reconquista, and the mosque was converted to a Roman Catholic church.

The historic centre of Córdoba is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
