The Atacama Desert is a plateau in South America, covering a 600-mile (1,000 km) strip of land on the Pacific coast, west of the Andes mountains. It is one of the driest deserts in the world.

The Bicentennial Group is a multilateral body created to promote and organize the joint commemoration of the independence process developed in the Americas 200 years ago.
