World's most dangerous bird | Australia

"He came home crosshatched and bleeding," McColl said. He told her, "'Oh my god, Doon, it was Jurassic Park!" The attacking bird was a Cassowary - an enormous, flightless bird.

What makes them dangerous, are their feet. Three toes sport pointed nails. The most dangerous of which is the middle, which ends in a veritable dagger several inches long. Cassowaries are native to the tropics of Queensland, Australia, and New Guinea.

Naracoorte Caves | Australia

Naracoorte Fossil Mammal site is located in South Australia, about 320km from Adelaide. Discovered in 1969, the site covers 300 hectares and gives visitors a snapshot of Pleistocene life in south-east Australia. Only a small percentage of the site has been excavated yet.

Kangaroo Island | Australia

Purnululu National Park | Australia

The Purnululu National Park is a World Heritage Site in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia. The park covers almost 240,000 hectares of remote area, including the Bungle Bungle Range. This spectacular landscape of sculptured rocks contains spectacular beehive-shaped karst sandstone rising 250 metres above the surrounding semi-arid savannah grasslands.
