The monastery of the Benedictine Order at Pannonhalma is one of the oldest historical monuments in Hungary. The first Benedictine monks settled here in 996.  It is located near the town of Pannonhalma, on top of a 280 meters high hill.

Millenary Benedictine Abbey of Pannonhalma and its Natural Environment is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
