A Postcard from Burkina Faso


Postcard
Burkina Faso is a is a landlocked country in west Africa. It is surrounded by six countries: Mali to the north, Niger to the east, Benin to the southeast, Togo and Ghana to the south, and Côte d'Ivoire to the southwest. The country's capital is Ouagadougou.

Burkina Faso (formerly Upper Volta) achieved independence from France in 1960. Upper Volta was renamed Burkina Faso in 1984.
