Place Stanislas, Nancy | France

The Place Stanislas is a large pedestrianised square in the French city of Nancy. The square is named after Stanislas Leszczynski (1677 - 1766), who was King of Poland, Grand Duke of Lithuania and Duke of Lorraine. Nancy was the capital of (upper) Lorraine that was annexed by the Kingdom of France in 1766.

Place Stanislas, together with Place de la Carrière and Place d'Alliance in Nancy is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
