Ancient and Primeval Beech Forests of the Carpathians and Other Regions of Europe is a UNESCO World Heritage site. This transboundary property stretches over 12 countries, including Italy.
Sasso Fratino Nature Reserve is part of this site and is located inside this Foreste Casentinesi.
