Postcard
Braunschweig is a city located in the state of Lower
Saxony, Germany. The card shows part of Dankwarderode Castle, built between 1160 and
1175.
The city was a member of the Hanseatic League, a confederation of
merchant guilds and their market towns that dominated trade along the
coast of Northern Europe.
