The hunting residence of Stupinigi | Italy

The House of Savoy is one of the oldest royal families in the world, founded in the year 1003. The name derives from the historical region of Savoy in the Alpine region between what is now France and Italy.

When Emmanuel-Philibert, Duke of Savoy, moved his capital to Turin in 1562, he began a vast series of building projects (continued by his successors) to demonstrate the power of the ruling house. Residences of the Royal House of Savoy is a UNESCO World Heritage site. 14 residences are listed.
