The Old Protestant Cemetery located close to the Casa Garden, was established by the British East India Company in 1821 in Macau in response to a lack of burial sites for Protestants in the Roman Catholic Portuguese colony. (wikipedia)

Macau was a Portuguese colony and both the first and last European colony in China. That explains the Portuguese words on the stamps.

Two islands and two mountains from Malaysia

The Perhentian Islands are two islands named Pulau Perhentian Kecil (Small Perhentian Island) and Pulau Perhentian Besar (Large Perhentian Island). The Malay name Perhentian is translated as “place to stop” and this is exactly what these two islands were for traders travelling between Malaysia and Bangkok in years gone by.

Armenia declared its sovereignty from the Soviet Union on August 23, 1990.

Lavash: According to Armenian Soviet Encyclopedia the word lavash is an Armenian word, as the word "lavash" in Armenian consists of two parts. The first one "lav" in Armenia means "good". The second part "ash" means "food, meal". So in Armenian it means "good food".

The Alamo San Antonio | USA

The Alamo, originally known as Mission San Antonio de Valero, is a former Roman Catholic mission and fortress compound in San Antonio, Texas. Once the site of the Battle of the Alamo in 1836, and today a museum.

San Antonio Missions is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The site encompasses a group of five frontier mission complexes situated along a stretch of the San Antonio River basin in southern Texas.

Coliemore Harbour, Ireland

There are several small harbours on the coast of Dalkey. Coliemore Harbour is situated in the midsouthern part of the town. It was previously the principal harbour of Dublin City. These harbours are used by tourists to hire boats for nearby fishing, and for getting to Dalkey Island.

The Palace of Culture and Science (1955) in Warsaw the tallest building in Poland from 1955 to 1957. It was originally known as the Joseph Stalin Palace of Culture and Science. It was a gift from the Soviet Union to the people of Poland.

BAB E KHYBER, Pakistan

Malate Church, Philippines

Malate Church is dedicated to Nuestra Senora de Remedios ("Our Lady of Remedies"). The church was built originally on this spot in the sixteenth century by the Augustinians, and is one of the oldest churches in Manila.
