Malate Church is dedicated to Nuestra Senora de Remedios ("Our Lady of Remedies"). The church was built originally on this spot in the sixteenth century by the Augustinians, and is one of the oldest churches in Manila.

(left) In July, 1966 the concrete and modern building of GCHS was built.
(right) It shows the new ramp building elementary wing of the Grace Christian High School, together with its founders, Ms. Julia L. Tan and Dr. and Mrs. Edward Spahr.
