Belitung is an island on the east coast
of Sumatra, Indonesia. An enchanting island with pearly white beaches,
crystal clear water, and magnificent granite stone formations on its shallow
shores. The island has a population of about 265,000. Belitung is a source of
tin, clay, iron ore and silica sands.

(left) Ujung Kulon National Park, a UNESCO World
Heritage Site since 1991. The park has the largest remaining lowland rainforest in
Java and holds the only viable population of the critically endangered Javan
rhino.
