Puerta de entrada a Quetzaltenango | Guatemala

Quetzaltenango is the second largest city of Guatemala. For Guatemalans the city is better known under the name Xela, which is an abbreviation of the original city name Xelajú.

I received this card more than 5 years ago and luckily not posted it here. There is no operational postal system these days in Guatemala. In 2016 Guatemala’s postal agency,  El Correo de Guatemala, suddenly suspended service due to a contract dispute with Guatemalan government.
