Caernarfon Castle is a medieval fortress in Caernarfon, Gwynedd, north-west Wales. King Edward I built this castle in the 1280s at roughly the same time as two other castles: Harlech and Conwy.

Castles and Town Walls of King Edward in Gwynedd is a UNESCO World Heritage site. This site comprises Beaumaris Castle, Caernarfon Castle and Town Walls, Conwy Castle and Town Walls and Harlech Castle.
