Pogradec is a city and municipality in central Albania, situated on the shores of the Ohrid lake. The lake is one of Europe's deepest and oldest lakes.
Natural and Cultural Heritage of the Ohrid region is a UNESCO World Heritage site. This site is a transboundary one, for both Albania and North Macedonia. In 2019 the Albanian part of the lake was added.
