Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory in the
North Atlantic Ocean, located off the east coast of the United
States. So it is not a part of the Caribbean islands, located much more to the
south.
The British Overseas Territories are those parts
of the former British Empire that have not acquired independence,
or have voted to remain British territories. While each has its own internal
leadership, they share the British Queen Elizabeth II as head
of state.
