Château de Chambord | France
Postcard
Chambord is the largest château in the Loire Valley; it was built to serve as a hunting lodge for King Francis I of France (1494- 1547).
The "Chateau and Estate of Chambord", which was previously inscribed on the World Heritage List, is now part of the "Loire Valley between Sully-sur-Loire and Chalonnes".
