The lion-tailed macaque, also known as the wanderoo, is a monkey endemic to the Western Ghats of South India.
The Western Ghats is a chain of mountains running parallel to India’s western coast, approximately 30-50 km inland. The Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve is an International Biosphere Reserve in the Western Ghats.
