Angel Island is an island in San Francisco Bay. The entire island is included within Angel Island State Park. The island has been used for a variety of purposes, including military forts, a US Public Health Service Quarantine Station, and a US Bureau of Immigration inspection and detention facility.
The building on the postacrd is the Visitors Center on the island. Built in 1935 and served in the past as barracks and mess hall of the single medical officers of the Quarantine Station.
