Flags of the World | Barbados
Postcard
The national flag of Barbados was officially adopted on 30 November 1966, the island's first Independence Day.
In the middle a black trident of the sea god Neptune is depicted with a broken leg. He symbolizes the independence of the island to British colonial rule and is derived from the old colonial arms.
