The Yancheng Coastal Wetlands is the largest coastal wetlands nature reserve in China. The reserve harbors a great diversity in plant species and is an important wintering habitat for many bird species, especially the red crowned crane.
Migratory Bird Sanctuaries along the Coast of Yellow Sea-Bohai Gulf of China (Phase I) is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
