Palm Beach is where most of the action is in Aruba. This is where most of the resorts call home. So this is also going to be one of the busiest, most crowded beaches on the island.

Aruba is an island and a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the southern Caribbean Sea. 

Aruba's national flag was adopted on March 18, 1976. From 1959 - 1986 the flag of the Netherlands Antilles was also in use. But in 1986 Aruba seceded from the Netherlands Antilles.

California lighthouse | Aruba

 The old stone California lighthouse stands as a silent watchman in the area known as "Hudishibana," near Aruba's northwestern tip. The lighthouse was named after the S.S. California - which sunk previous to its construction in 1910.

In 1951 Aruba and the other Dutch Antilles became more independent from The Netherlands. In the 70's a movement was formed which wanted Aruba to separate from the other islands.

Aruba was part of the Netherlands Antilles until 1996 when they were the first of the six islands (Leeward: Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao Winward: Sint Maarten, Saba and Sint Eustatius) to have a “Status Aparte” which makes it independent within the kingdom of The Netherlands.
